I am a self-described nature nerd and love to learn! In the past, I have worked with many taxa of wildlife and plants including spending a few years inventorying and monitoring rare species in southern Maryland. Today, much of my focus is on amphibian, reptile, and invasive species management.

I have found my niche bringing the wonders of nature to many different audiences. I love to teach and to learn from others. Check out my professional talks page for more information.

Guinea Pig Mom

Guinea pigs have always held a special place in my heart, and we have our own “herd” of rescue pigs. Pigs are sassy rodents which are often underestimated. Check out my blog for occasional guinea pig stories and consider checking out Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue for more information.
